Dear Dr. Molnar,
I would like to change the feeding of my dog (pug, almost 6kg, neutered, pretty active except nowadays due to cold weather) I saw your recommendation.
Am not confident with raw food, too scared of parasite etc and her gut flora is still sensitive and until all cures are not done and liver enzymes down to normal levels, I prefer to cook.
Ok 15-20 mins. I saw this one: "When you receive your product, just loosen it up enough to make it easy to dispense and you can portion it out. Freezable product.Ingredients : 100% rabbit meat, chopped.
So i would get the basis of 6kg - 120gram per day to start and monitor if need to increase after.
Do I get it right: 96g meat, 6g liver, 6g heart,i wont have bone, so her calcium daily dosage or the bone strength&joint protection or cartilage&spine builder?, her omega 3 dosage, her digestive enzyme complex probiotic? She was getting synoquin as a cure too, as she has a little arthrosis on her shoulder and when it is cold, if she puts her leg up or start to limb, i know it is painful. Doing also some physio to support the muscles.
I indeed do not wish to give carbohydrate and even limit vegetables for now.
As it will be her first time, i want to ensure her needs will be covered, while still treating her for liver enzymes too high. Her crystal struvit in urine are gone as per yesterday 🙂 Vet said urine showed still bacteria but it is suspected it is due to when i collect when she pees or the jar even if it was cleaned. so no medicines for it, not to overload her.
If she can handle this way of eating, i hope....i will later switch to another meat right? so far rabbit, beef, horse, buffalo, pork is ok (well she never tried fresh so its based on canned or kibble for rabbit)
Thank you in advance.
